When Yuri moved to the Netherlands, he didn’t just start a new job, he started a new chapter in life. What began as a mid-level engineering role at Rabobank has now grown into something bigger. Yuri is stepping into a lead engineer position, and WAES played a big part in helping him get there.

“When I grow into a lead position, that means I can have more impact on those solutions and therefore make a greater impact on people’s lives.”
But it’s not just about career milestones. For Yuri, the people he’s met along the way have made all the difference.
“When I joined the Netherlands, I was very scared that I would feel alone… But I saw that a lot of people were in the same situation as I was. When you make a change this big in your life, you realize how much the people you've met and the moments you've collected are important.”
